Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart
Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart (1892–1946) was an Austrian lawyer and National Socialist politician who played a prominent role in collaboration with Nazi Germany. He briefly served as Chancellor of Austria in 1938 and was instrumental in the Anschluss—the annexation of Austria by Germany. He later held high-ranking positions within the Third Reich, including as Reich Commissioner for the occupied Netherlands from 1940 to 1945. In this role, he was responsible for implementing harsh repressive measures, the persecution of Jews, and the deployment of forced labor. After the war, he was tried at the Nuremberg Trials, found guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and executed by hanging on October 16, 1946.

Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart (1892–1946) was een Oostenrijkse jurist en nationaalsocialistisch politicus die een prominente rol speelde in de collaboratie met Nazi-Duitsland. Hij was kortstondig bondskanselier van Oostenrijk in 1938 en speelde een sleutelrol bij de Anschluss — de annexatie van Oostenrijk door Duitsland. Daarna bekleedde hij hoge functies binnen het Derde Rijk, waaronder als rijkscommissaris van Nederland van 1940 tot 1945. In deze functie was hij verantwoordelijk voor de uitvoering van harde onderdrukkingsmaatregelen, de vervolging van Joden en het inzetten van dwangarbeid. Na de oorlog werd hij berecht tijdens het Neurenbergtribunaal, schuldig bevonden aan oorlogsmisdaden en misdaden tegen de menselijkheid, en op 16 oktober 1946 geëxecuteerd door ophanging.This handwritten letter is in good condition, dated July 20, 1942, and was handwritten by Reichskommisar Dr. Arthur Seyss-Inquart.
