Original German occupation document from the late phase of the Second World War, dated The Hague, January 11, 1945, issued by the Office of the Reich Commissioner’s Representative for the Province of South Holland.
This official certificate (“Bescheinigung”) states that the owner’s bicycle was required for food supply purposes and therefore was not to be confiscated by the Wehrmacht or other German authorities.

Origineel Duits bezettingsdocument uit de late fase van de Tweede Wereldoorlog, gedateerd Den Haag, 11 januari 1945, uitgegeven door de Beauftragte des Reichskommissars voor de provincie Zuid-Holland. Dit officiële stuk betreft een “Bescheinigung” waarin wordt verklaard dat de fiets van de eigenaar noodzakelijk is voor de voedselvoorziening en daarom niet in beslag mag worden genomen door Wehrmacht of andere Duitse instanties.
