Original WWII German Ausweis Ziviler Luftschutz in Betschkerek (Zrenjanin) in Serbia

Original Ausweis (identity card) for civil air defense from the Second World War, issued on 27 November 1943 by the Kreisvorstehung des Banater Kreises in Betschkerek.

During the Second World War, the city was located in the Banat region, which at the time was under German occupation. Today, the city is called Zrenjanin and is situated in the autonomous province of Vojvodina in northern Serbia.

This document was issued to Ivan Ostrogonac, a civil servant residing at Temescher 22, and officially authorized him to be on the streets during air raid alarms as part of his duties within the civil protection services.

The Ausweis is fully completed and bears both an official stamp and signature. It is an interesting piece of wartime documentation that offers direct insight into daily administration and civil air defense measures in German-controlled territory during the final years of the war.

Originele Ausweis voor de civiele luchtbescherming uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, uitgegeven op 27 november 1943 door de Kreisvorstehung des Banater Kreises in Betschkerek. Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog bevond de stad zich in de regio Banat, die toen onder Duitse bezetting stond. Tegenwoordig heet de stad Zrenjanin en ligt zij in de autonome provincie Vojvodina in het noorden van Servië. Dit document was bestemd voor Ivan Ostrogonac, ambtenaar, wonende aan Temescher 22, en gaf hem officieel toestemming om zich tijdens luchtalarm op straat te begeven in het kader van zijn functie binnen de civiele bescherming. De Ausweis is volledig ingevuld, voorzien van stempel en handtekening.
