Original WWII German Ausweis Warschau in Poland

This original Ausweis No. 76 is a German occupation document from the Second World War, issued in Warsaw on 25 February 1944 in the name of Edward Rojek, born on 2 May 1899 in Pinski.
The document states his profession as bookkeeper (Buchhalter), his residential address Warsaw, Marschallstr. 74, and his employment with the company “Sztuczny Kamień.”
In addition, this identification card granted him access to the construction site of the Zentralpostbahnhof Warsaw (Eisenstr. 21) between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The Ausweis is fitted with an original passport photograph, the holder’s handwritten signature, official stamps of the German local construction authority (Örtl. Bauleiter), and extension stamps valid through April 1944.
The condition is used and authentic, showing clear signs of age, folds, and wear consistent with intensive administrative use during wartime. During the Second World War (1939–1945), Warsaw formed part of the General Government under German occupation, where access to workplaces, infrastructure, and public facilities was strictly regulated through permits and identification documents.

Deze originele Ausweis Nr. 76 betreft een Duits bezettingsdocument uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, afgegeven in Warschau op 25 februari 1944 op naam van Edward Rojek, geboren op 2 mei 1899 te Pinski. Het document vermeldt zijn beroep als boekhouder (Buchhalter), zijn woonadres Warschau, Marschallstr. 74, en zijn tewerkstelling bij de firma „Sztuczny Kamień”.
Daarnaast verleende deze legitimatie hem toegang tot de bouwplaats van het Zentralpostbahnhof Warschau (Eisenstr. 21) tussen 7.00 en 18.00 uur.
De Ausweis is voorzien van een originele pasfoto, handgeschreven handtekening van de houder, officiële stempels van de Duitse bouwleiding (Örtl. Bauleiter) en verlengingsstempels tot april 1944.
