This German ausweis in good condition, dates from 1943 and was used by a Dutchman who worked as a forced laborer at the DWM, also known as the Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken A.G. in Lubeck.

The Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken A.G. (DWM) was one of the most important arms and ammunition manufacturers in the German Empire and later Nazi Germany. In the city of Lübeck, there was a facility involved during the Second World War in the production of ammunition and possibly light weapons for the Wehrmacht. The Lübeck plant was part of the larger DWM group, which originated in Karlsruhe. During the war, as in other locations, forced labor was used, including prisoners of war and deported workers from occupied territories. The facility played a role in the German war industry until production was halted or destroyed by Allied bombing near the end of the war.
