Original WWII Dutch Winterhulp Nederland lottery ticket with envelope

This lottery ticket from the Winterhulp Nederland lottery of 1941 is a remarkable piece of Dutch history from the Second World War.
The ticket, priced at 50 cents, was issued in support of the Winterhulp organization, a National Socialist institution that organized charitable actions during the occupation.
The ticket features elegant graphic printing with clover motifs and the text “Voor het Volk – Door het Volk” (“For the People – By the People”).
On the back it states that a total of 6,000,000 tickets were issued, with 885,000 prizesamounting to a total value of ƒ 1,000,000.
This particular ticket (Series B, number 616536) unfortunately states “Niets gewonnen” (“Nothing won”).
What makes this example special is that it is still complete with the original envelope, bearing the red Winterhulp Nederland seal and official payment instructions.

Dit lot uit de Winterhulp Nederland loterij van 1941 is een bijzonder stukje Nederlandse geschiedenis uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Het lot, met een prijs van 50 cent, werd uitgegeven ten bate van de Winterhulp-organisatie, een nationaalsocialistische instelling die tijdens de bezetting liefdadigheidsacties organiseerde.
Het lot toont fraai grafisch drukwerk met klavermotieven en de tekst “Voor het Volk – Door het Volk”.
Op de achterkant staat vermeld dat er in totaal 6.000.000 loten in omloop waren, goed voor 885.000 prijzen met een gezamenlijke waarde van ƒ 1.000.000. Dit specifieke lot (Serie B, nummer 616536) heeft helaas “Niets gewonnen”, wat duidelijk staat afgedrukt.
Bijzonder aan dit exemplaar is dat het nog compleet is met de originele envelop, voorzien van het rode Winterhulp Nederland zegel en officiële aanwijzingen voor uitbetaling.
