The photo is in good condition and shows Dutch and German members of the Waffen-SS ‘Nordwest’ Wachbattalion III.
On the photo are SS-Obergruppenführer Rauter and the SS commander of ‘Nordwest’ Wachbatallion III mr Helle.
This unit were the guards of Concentration camp Amersfoort and would see action during Operation Market Garden.
This particular photo was made in Amersfoort.

De  foto is in goede conditie en daarop zijn de Nederlandse en Duitse soldaten van SS-Wachtbatallion III ‘Nordwest’ te zien tijdens een inspectie van SS-Obergruppenführer Rauter en de commandant Helle.
Deze eenheid was de bewaking van Kamp Amersfoort en zou vechten tijdens de slag om Arnhem.
