Original WWII Dutch Waffen-SS grouping of two brothers in ‘Wiking’ both KIA

The grouping belonged to two Dutch volunteers in the Waffen-SS ‘Wiking’ and they both got killed in action!
It contains a very rare Reichskommissariat in die Niederlande Ausweis and Dutch passport that belonged to Heinrich Wilhelm ‘Willy’ Smeenk and 34 Dutch SS photos of him and his brother Hendrikus Smeenk and one SS postcard.

Willy was born in Germany in Mulheim an der Ruhr and Hendrikus was born in Zutphen in the Netherlands.
Willy worked for the Reichskommissariat in the Netherlands as an liaison officer in February 1941.
This particular Reichskommissariat Ausweis is extremely rare and we are only aware of one other example in existence. 
Eventually they both joined as a volunteer in the Waffen-SS ‘Wiking’ regiment and fought in the eastern front.
The photos are showing training, camouflage uniforms, weapons, the hospital and many other interesting subjects with Dutch SS volunteers.
Hendrikus, the soldier with the glasses got wounded during the war, there are 3 hospital photos of him in this grouping.
Heinrich Wilhelm ‘Willy’ Smeenk got killed in action on the eastern front 7 September 1941.
Hendrikus Smeenk got killed in action near the Dutch border in the German city of Versen on 9 December 1944.

Originele WWII Nederlandse Waffen-SS vrijwilligers grouping van twee broers in het Wiking Regiment KIA

De is afkomstig van twee Nederlandse vrijwilligers in de Waffen-SS ‘Wiking’ en zij zijn beiden gesneuveld tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
De set bevat een zeer zeldzaam Reichskommissariat in die Niederlande Ausweis en paspoort wat afkomstig is van Heinrich Wilhelm ‘Willy’ Smeenk en 34 foto’s van hem en zijn broer Hendrikus Smeenk.
Dit Reichskommissariat Ausweis is zeer zeldzaam en wij zijn alleen van één ander exemplaar op de hoogte.
Tevens zit er ook een SS postkaart in deze set.

Willy werd geboren in Mulheim an der Ruhr en Hendrikus werd geboren in Zutphen.
Willy werkte als ordonnans voor de Reichkommisar in februari 1941.
Uiteindelijk werden zij Nederlands Waffen-SS vrijwilliger in het regiment ‘Wiking’ en vochtten aan het oostfront.
Op de foto’s zijn hun trainingen, camouflage uniformen, wapens, ziekenhuis en vele interessante onderwerpen te zien.
Hendrikus, de soldaat met de bril, raakte gewond aan het front en tussen de foto’s zitten er drie bij waarop hij in ziekenhuis kledij te zien is.
Heinrich Wilhelm ‘Willy’ Smeenk sneuvelde aan het oostfront op 7 september 1941.
Hendrikus Smeenk sneuvelde op 9 december 1944 bij de Nederlandse grens in de Duitse plaats Versen.
