The photo is in good condition and was made in April 1943 at the SS-Ausbildungslager Avegoor in the Netherlands.
‘In the new gymnastics hall of Avegoor, SS-Gruppenführer and Leutnant-general der Polizei Rauter presented the sports badge to 65 Dutch SS men. The cutting of the ribbon by SS-Gruppenführer Rauter, making the opening of the gymnastics hall a fact.’

In de nieuwe turnhal van Avegoor heeft SS-Gruppenführer en Leutnant-general der Polizei Rauter aan 65 Nederlandsche SS-mannen het sportinsigne uitgereikt. Het doorknippen van het lint door SS-Gruppenführer Rauter, waarmede de opening van de turnhal een feit is geworden.
