This monument was solemnly inaugurated by Hendrik Seyffardt, the commander of the Dutch volunteer legion.

In het hoofdkwartier van het vrijwilligers legioen Nederland te Den Haag zijn de eretafelen, waarop de namen van de gevallen Nederlandse vrijwilligers aan het Oostfront zijn aangebracht.
Dit monument werd plechtig ingewijd door Hendrik Seyffardt, de commandant van het vrijwilligers legioen Nederland.
