Original WWII Dutch SS Germanische Leithefte brochure 1942

This Dutch Germanische SS Leithefte brochure, published in The Hague in 1942, was an official publication of the SS-Hauptamt (the main headquarters of the SS) and served as a propaganda brochure aimed at volunteers from Northern and Western Europe. It was distributed to promote the ideological worldview of the Waffen-SS and the so-called “Germanic” unity ideal within the Third Reich.

This is issue No. 7/II, printed with the characteristic black cover featuring the SS runes and decorative border.
The contents discuss themes such as the “Germanic will to live,” the race-based concept of beauty, and the role of the Germanic peoples, illustrated with photographs of SS soldiers, families, and volunteers from various European countries.

The edition was produced by the SS-Hauptamt in Berlin and translated into Dutch for distribution among Dutch and Flemish SS volunteers.

Originele WWII Nederlandse SS Germanische Leithefte 1942 No. 7/II

Deze SS Germanische Leithefte brochure, uitgegeven in Den Haag in 1942, was een publicatie van het SS-Hauptamt (het hoofdkwartier van de SS) en diende als propagandistische uitgave gericht op vrijwilligers uit Noord- en West-Europa.
De brochure werd verspreid ter bevordering van het ideologische wereldbeeld van de Waffen-SS en de zogenoemde “Germaanse” eenheidsgedachte binnen het Derde Rijk.
Het betreft nummer 7/II, gedrukt met de karakteristieke zwarte omslag met SS-runen en decoratieve rand.
De inhoud behandelt thema’s als het “Germaansche levenswil”, het door ras bepaalde schoonheidsideaal en de rol van de Germaanse volkeren, ondersteund door foto’s van SS-soldaten, families en vrijwilligers uit verschillende Europese landen.
De uitgave werd geproduceerd door het SS-Hauptamt in Berlijn en vertaald naar het Nederlands voor verspreiding onder Nederlandse en Vlaamse SS-vrijwilligers.
