Original Dutch Schalkhaar Police – Staatspolitie cloth visor cap insignia from the Second World War.
This embroidered insignia features the distinctive white bundle design on a black cloth backing as worn by members of the Dutch State Police during the war years.
The insignia was intended for attachment to police visor caps and formed part of the uniform used by the Schalkhaar Police under German occupation in the Netherlands.
During the Second World War the Schalkhaar Police were deployed for police duties, maintaining public order and supporting the German occupation authorities.
Members of this police training organization became known for collaborating with the occupiers and were used for inspections, searches and security duties.

Origineel Nederlands Schalkhaar Politie – Staatspolitie stoffen pet embleem uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
Dit geborduurde embleem toont het kenmerkende witte bundelmotief op een zwarte stoffen ondergrond zoals gedragen door leden van de Nederlandse Staatspolitie tijdens de oorlogsjaren.
Het embleem was bestemd voor bevestiging op politiepetten en maakt deel uit van de uniformering van de Schalkhaar Politie onder Duitse bezetting in Nederland.
De Schalkhaar Politie werd tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog ingezet voor politietaken, ordehandhaving en ondersteuning van de Duitse bezettingsautoriteiten.
Leden van deze politieopleiding stonden bekend om hun samenwerking met de bezetter en werden onder meer ingezet bij controles, opsporingen en bewakingsdiensten.
