Original WWII Dutch resistance photos – De Flitspuit action in Utrecht

The two photos are in good condition and were taken by the Dutch resistance during World War II.
The photos show two large painted question marks on a collaborator’s home.
This was done between 1942 and 1943 by the Dutch resistance on behalf of the Dutch broadcaster ‘De Flitspuit’, which was stationed in England.
People were called upon to paint a large question mark on the facade of every house where a collaborator lived.
The radio station gave the impression that they were based in the Netherlands, but the Germans soon found out that the radio signal came from England.
These photos were made at the house of the NSB group leader (Kringleider) in Utrecht.

Originele WWII Nederlandse verzet foto’s ‘De Flitspuit’ 

De twee foto’s zijn in goede conditie en werden genomen door het Nederlandse verzet tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
Op de foto’s zijn twee grote geschilderde vraagtekens te zien op een woning van een collaborateur.
Dit werd gedaan tussen 1942 en 1943 door het Nederlandse verzet in opdracht van de Nederlandse zender ‘De Flitspuit’ die in Engeland gestationeerd was.
Er werd opgeroepen om bij elke woning waar een collaborateur woonde om daar een groot vraagteken op de voorgevel te schilderen.
De radio zender wekte de indruk dat zij in Nederland gevestigd waren, maar al snel kwamen de Duitsers erachter dat het radio signaal uit Engeland kwam.
Deze foto’s werden genomen bij het huis van de NSB kringleider te Utrecht.
