Origineel WWII Nederlands wederopbouwplan van Rhenen, uitgegeven tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog door het Regeringscommissariaat voor den Wederopbouw te ‘s-Gravenhage

Dit vijf pagina’s tellende document is gedateerd 20 november 1940 en behandelt het officiële wederopbouwplan voor de zwaar beschadigde stad Rhenen na de gevechten van mei 1940.
Het document beschrijft uitgebreid de plannen voor de herinrichting van de binnenstad, waarbij zowel moderne stedenbouwkundige inzichten als het historische karakter van Rhenen behouden moesten blijven.
Uitgebreid worden onder andere de Cunerakerk, de Cuneratoren, de voormalige Heerenstraat, het nieuwe Frederik van der Paltzhof, de Rijn, de Betuwe, de Rijksweg Arnhem-Utrecht, de Koningstraat, Weverstraat, Bontekoestraat, Gasthuisstraat, Grebbeweg, Panorama-molen en de Vogelenzang genoemd.
Daarnaast wordt ingegaan op de aanleg van wandelpromenades, winkelgebieden, arbeiderswoningen, industrieverplaatsing, parkeergelegenheid en toeristische voorzieningen.
Ook wordt vermeld dat de onteigening van gronden reeds was gestart en dat de herverkaveling onder leiding van Dr. Ringers verder zou worden uitgevoerd.
