Original group of six Dutch Police photographs, consisting of five photographs dating from the Second World War and one photograph from the immediate post-war period.
The photographs depict members of the Nederlandsche Politie in uniform and provide an interesting view of both police service and activities outside regular duty.
Two portrait photographs clearly show Dutch policemen wearing their uniforms with peaked caps, collar insignia, shoulder boards and uniform buttons.
Three wartime photographs show football teams and group scenes in which various policemen are photographed together.
The sixth photograph dates from after the Second World War and shows police training shortly before departure for the Netherlands East Indies.
It depicts a group of uniformed men taking part in drill or a parade at their training location.
