National Socialist Women’s Organization (NSVO)

The Nationaal-Socialistische Vrouwenorganisatie (NSVO) was the women’s division of the Dutch National Socialist Movement (NSB), active during the 1930s and 1940s. The organization was established as part of the NSB to involve women in National Socialist ideology, focusing on traditional roles such as motherhood, caregiving, and obedience. The NSVO was heavily inspired by the German Nazi Party’s women’s organizations and played a supportive role in spreading propaganda and ideological education within Dutch society during the years of occupation.

Nationaal-Socialistische Vrouwenorganisatie (NSVO)

De Nationaal-Socialistische Vrouwenorganisatie (NSVO) was de vrouwenafdeling van de Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging (NSB) in Nederland, actief tijdens de jaren 30 en 40 van de twintigste eeuw. De organisatie werd opgericht als onderdeel van de NSB om vrouwen binnen het nationaalsocialistische gedachtegoed te betrekken en hun rol te richten op traditionele waarden zoals moederschap, zorg en gehoorzaamheid.
De NSVO was sterk geïnspireerd door de Duitse nazipartij en diens vrouwenorganisaties, en speelde een ondersteunende rol in de verspreiding van propaganda en ideologische opvoeding binnen de Nederlandse samenleving tijdens de bezettingsjaren.
