NSB Hagespraak 1936

The Hagespraak of 1936 was a large-scale propaganda gathering organized by the Dutch National Socialist Movement (NSB) under the leadership of Anton Mussert.
It took place on the Goudsberg near Lunteren, a symbolic location that the NSB promoted as the “National Socialist sanctuary” of the Netherlands.
The event was heavily inspired by the Nazi Party rallies in Germany and featured a tightly organized, quasi-military atmosphere with flags, uniforms, marches, and speeches. Mussert addressed the crowd from a specially constructed stone platform, known as the Geographical Center of the Netherlands.
The 1936 Hagespraak was meant to highlight the unity, discipline, and ideology of the movement, aiming to convince the public that the NSB was the only true national force.
It represented a peak in pre-war NSB propaganda.

NSB Hagespraak 1936

De Hagespraak van 1936 was een massale propagandabijeenkomst georganiseerd door de Nationaal-Socialistische Beweging (NSB) onder leiding van Anton Mussert.
Deze vond plaats op de Goudsberg bij Lunteren, een symbolische plek die de NSB presenteerde als het “Nationaal Socialistisch heiligdom” van Nederland.
De bijeenkomst was sterk geïnspireerd op de nazi-partijdagen in Duitsland en kende een strak georganiseerde, quasi-militaire sfeer met vlaggen, uniformen, marsen en toespraken. Mussert sprak de aanwezigen toe vanaf een speciaal aangelegd stenen podium, het zogenaamde Middelpunt van Nederland.
De Hagespraak van 1936 was bedoeld om de eenheid, discipline en ideologie van de beweging te benadrukken en het volk te overtuigen van de NSB als enige ware nationale kracht.
Het evenement was een hoogtepunt in de NSB-propaganda voor de oorlog.
