M. Graaf de Marchant et d’Ansembourg was the authorized representative for Limburg of the NSB during the war.
On Dolle Dinsdag, Sept. 5, 1944, Graaf De Marchant et d’Ansembourg fled to Germany. On Sept. 12, 1944, the Americans entered South Limburg and the first Dutch municipalities were liberated.
Anton Mussert removed him from office because of his fleeing behavior.

Het NSB document is in goede conditie, dateert van oktober 1944 en bevat informatie over de schorsing van M. Graaf de Marchant et d’Ansembourg.
M. Graaf de Marchant et d’Ansembourg was tijdens de oorlog de gemachtigde voor Limburg van de NSB.
Op Dolle Dinsdag, 5 september 1944, vluchtte graaf De Marchant et d’Ansembourg naar Duitsland. Op 12 september 1944 trokken de Amerikanen Zuid-Limburg binnen en werden de eerste Nederlandse gemeenten bevrijd.
Anton Mussert zette hem uit zijn functie vanwege zijn vluchtgedrag.
