Original WWII Dutch Luchtbescherming EHBO ‘Gezinsbescherming’ armband Voorburg

This Dutch Air Protection first-aid armband from the Gezinsbescherming (Family Protection) is a remarkable collectible from the pre-war period, originating from the municipality of Voorburg.
Clearly worn and marked with the official municipal stamp, the armband was used by a member of the Gezinsbescherming, First Aid division.
Gezinsbescherming courses were given in 1939 by the Dutch Association for Air Protection to prepare civilians for first-aid duties during air raids. The sturdy, cream-coloured cloth with  black lettering “Gez. besch. H.5. E.H.B.O.” is in used condition.
An interesting collectible for any collection focused on WWII home front, emergency services or air protection!

Originele WWII Nederlandse Luchtbeschermings ‘Gezinsbescherming’ EHBO armband Voorburg

Deze Nederlandse Luchtbescherming EHBO-armband van de Gezinsbescherming is een bijzonder verzamelstuk uit de vooroorlogse periode, afkomstig uit de gemeente Voorburg. De armband, duidelijk gedragen en gemerkt met het officiële gemeentestempel werd gebruikt door een lid van de Gezinsbescherming, afdeling EHBO. Gezinsbescherming cursussen werden in 1939 door de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Luchtbescherming gegeven om burgers voor te bereiden op eerstehulpverlening bij luchtaanvallen. Het stevige, crème-kleurige doek met zwarte opdruk “Gez. besch. H.5. E.H.B.O.” is in gebruikte conditie. Een interessant verzamelobject voor elke collectie rond WOII-thuisfront, hulpdiensten of luchtbescherming!
