Original WWII Dutch letter to Waffen-SS volunteer in ‘Het Loo’ hospital in Apeldoorn

A particularly authentic piece of wartime correspondence consisting of a handwritten letter dated 28 October 1943 from The Hague, complete with its original envelope.
The letter is addressed to SS-Sturmmann Johan Buis, who at that time was staying at the Wehrmachts Genesingsheim(convalescent home) in Slot Het Loo, Apeldoorn (room 300).
The envelope bears a clear postmark ’s-Gravenhage, 28.X.1943, and also contains a propagandistic slogan: “Help our industry with raw materials, hand in waste.”
On the reverse, the sender’s address is noted: H. v.d. Ravaart, Van Goghstraat 25, The Hague.
SS-Sturmmann Johan Buis originally came from Hoorn.

Originele WWII Nederlandse brief aan Nederlandse Waffen-SS vrijwilliger in Wehrmacht Gezingheim Slot het Loo in Apeldoorn

Bijzonder authentiek stuk oorlogscorrespondentie bestaande uit een handgeschreven brief van 28 oktober 1943 uit Den Haag, compleet met de originele envelop.
De brief is geadresseerd aan SS-Sturmmann Johan Buis, die op dat moment verbleef in het Wehrmachts Genesingsheim (herstellingsoord) in Slot Het Loo, Apeldoorn (kamer 300).
De envelop draagt een duidelijk poststempel ’s-Gravenhage, 28.X.1943, en bevat daarnaast een propagandistische leus “Help onze industrie aan grondstoffen, lever afval in”.
Op de achterzijde is het adres van de afzender vermeld: H. v.d. Ravaart., Van Goghstraat 25, Den Haag. SS-Sturmmann Johan Buis was oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit Hoorn.
