Original WWII Dutch ‘Hulp-Marechaussee’ armband

Due to a shortage of good police officers, the ‘Hulp Marechaussee’ was established in September 1944 in Zuid-Limburg (Netherlands).
This unit consisted mainly of former resistance members and helped to maintain order and arrested collaborators.

Door een tekortkoming aan goede politie agenten werd in september 1944 in Zuid-Limburg de Hulp Marechaussee opgericht.
Deze eenheid bestond voornamelijk uit voormalig verzetsleden en hielp de orde te handhaven en pakte collaborateurs op.
