Original WWII Dutch ‘Germaansche Landdienst’ poster

This collaboration poster from the Second World War is a striking and rare piece of propaganda for the Germaansche Landdienst.
The colorful illustration depicts two young workers in a field, designed to recruit youth for labor in the East.
The slogan “Kom ook in den Germaanschen Landdienst in het Oosten” (“Join the Germanic Land Service in the East”) is prominently displayed in red and blue letters against a warm yellow background, fully in line with the recognizable occupation-era propaganda style.
At the bottom, the official approval of the Dienststelle des Reichskommissars is printed, as well as the designation Plakat No. 108, including a posting period of 5–31 May.
Dimensions: 53 x 36.5 cm.
The poster shows age- and usage-related wear.

Deze collaboratie poster uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog is een opvallend en zeldzaam propagandistisch drukwerk voor de Germaansche Landdienst. De kleurrijke illustratie toont twee jonge arbeiders in een veld, ontworpen om jongeren te werven voor arbeid in het oosten. De slogan “Kom ook in den Germaanschen Landdienst in het Oosten” staat prominent weergegeven in rode en blauwe letters tegen een warme gele achtergrond, volledig in de herkenbare stijl van de bezettingspropaganda. Onderaan staat de officiële goedkeuring van de Dienststelle des Reichskommissars, evenals de aanduiding Plakat No. 108, met een vermeldde uithangtermijn van 5–31 mei.
