This bound set of 9 issues of the collaborationist magazine Volksche Wacht is in good condition and dates from 1940 and 1941.
Volksche Wacht was a National Socialist periodical published in the Netherlands during the occupation and was directly connected to the NSB.
The magazine was issued by Uitgeverij Hamer in The Hague and had earlier titles such as De Wolfsangel and Der Vaderen Erfdeel before adopting the name Volksche Wacht.
It was intended for members and sympathizers of the movement and aimed to ideologically educate and strengthen the NSB’s following.
The content included articles on folk culture, Germanic traditions, racial theory, eugenics, population policy and mysticism, in which culture and propaganda were closely intertwined. In this way, the magazine served as a tool to spread National Socialist ideology in the Netherlands.
An interesting set for any collection focused on Dutch collaboration.

Deze ingebonden set van 9 nummers van het collaboratie blad Volksche Wacht is in goede conditie en ze dateren van 1940 en 1941. Volksche Wacht was een nationaalsocialistisch tijdschrift dat tijdens de bezetting in Nederland verscheen en rechtstreeks verbonden was aan de NSB.
Het blad werd uitgegeven door Uitgeverij Hamer in Den Haag en kende eerdere titels als De Wolfsangel en Der Vaderen Erfdeel voordat het de naam Volksche Wacht kreeg.
Het was bedoeld voor leden en sympathisanten van de beweging en had als doel de achterban ideologisch te vormen en te versterken.
De inhoud bestond uit artikelen over volkscultuur, Germaanse tradities, rassenleer, erfgezondheid, bevolkingspolitiek en mystiek, waarbij cultuur en propaganda nauw met elkaar werden verweven.
Daarmee fungeerde het blad als instrument om het nationaalsocialistische gedachtegoed in Nederland te verspreiden.
