Original WWII Dutch army & resistance fighter large grouping

This large grouping belonged to Dutch army sergeant and resistance fighter Jospeh Bernard Blessing who lived at the Prinsengracht 787 in Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Joseph Bernard Blessing, was a member of the scouts, left the scouts club and started his career as a Dutch army sergeant in the 1930s (18th Infantry Regiment), fought against the German troops during the invasion of the Netherlands in May 1940 and became a resistance fighter during the war.
In this set are many items such as his Military ID dog tag, Military ID booklet, photos from his Dutch army period in the 1930s, field post from the 1930s, a very personal letter of his father to him on the first day the war broke out in the Netherlands, handwritten notes during the invasion of the Netherlands, his ‘Persoonsbewijs’ ID card from 1941, his wartime distribution card, package material of Dutch Wilhelmina cigarettes which were dropped by the RAF from an airplane during the German occupation of the Netherlands, his ‘Oranje’ armband for the resistance and Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten, his CD armband, this was worn by Dutch resistance fighters with a weapon during the liberation of the Netherlands, his Oranje Amsterdam NBS armband, ID cards of him from the Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten, wartime letters,  and many documents during the period that the Netherlands was liberated by the Allied troops.
Also the citation for his Dutch Resistance Cross from 1983 is there.

In this grouping is also a letter from his father which he send on the day the Germans attacked the Netherlands and while Bernhard was a sergeant in the Dutch army.

Dear Bernhard,
Unfortunately, it is war with all the misery associated with it.
You are at the forefront think to be ready if the worst should come, I mean if our dear Lord asks everything of you make sure you go to Communion too stitched up, that is the willingness I am referring to and from the rest your duty in spite of everything and above all, on once a lot can depend.
God bless you in the time ahead, know that we sympathize and pray with you completely.

A very unique and personal grouping for the militaria or World War II collection!

Originele WWII Nederlands leger & verzetsstrijder set 

Deze grote groep behoorde toe aan de Nederlandse legersergeant en verzetsstrijder Jospeh Bernard Blessing die aan de Prinsengracht 787 in Amsterdam woonde.
Joseph Bernard Blessing was lid van de padvinders, verliet de padvindersclub en begon zijn carrière als sergeant in het Nederlandse leger in de jaren 1930 (18e Regiment Infanterie), vocht tegen de Duitse troepen tijdens de invasie van Nederland in mei 1940 en werd verzetsstrijder tijdens de oorlog.
In deze set zitten veel items zoals zijn Nederlands leger naamplaatje, Nederlands leger Oorlogszakboekje, foto’s uit zijn Nederlandse legertijd in de jaren 1930, veldpost uit de jaren 1930, een zeer persoonlijke brief van zijn vader aan hem op de eerste dag dat de oorlog uitbrak in Nederland, handgeschreven notities tijdens de invasie van Nederland, zijn ‘Persoonsbewijs’ ID-kaart uit 1941, zijn distributiekaart uit oorlogstijd, verpakkingsmateriaal van Nederlandse Wilhelmina sigaretten die door de RAF vanuit een vliegtuig werden gedropt tijdens de Duitse bezetting van Nederland, zijn Oranje-armband voor het verzet en de Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten, zijn CD-armband, deze werd gedragen door Nederlandse verzetsstrijders en NBS leden met een wapen tijdens de bevrijding van Nederland, zijn Oranje Amsterdam NBS-armband, persoonsbewijzen van hem van de Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten, brieven uit oorlogstijd en vele documenten tijdens de periode dat Nederland werd bevrijd door de geallieerde troepen.
Ook de eervolle vermelding voor zijn Verzetskruis uit 1983 is erbij.

In deze groep zit ook een brief van zijn vader die hij stuurde op de dag dat de Duitsers Nederland aanvielen en toen Bernhard sergeant was in het Nederlandse leger.

Helaas is het oorlog met alle ellende van dien.
Je staat vooraan denk om klaar te zijn als het ergste mocht komen, ik bedoel als onze lieve Heer alles van je vraagt zorg dat je ook gehecht ter communie gaat, dat is de bereidheid waar ik op doel en voor de rest je plicht ondanks alles en vooral van eens kan veel afhangen.
God zegene u in de komende tijd, weet dat we met je meeleven en bidden volledig met je mee.
Bernhard tot ziens,
Je vader.’’
