This is the last Dutch announcement poster under the German occupation.
This poster is in used condition and dates from May 5, 1945.
”Dutch people!
From today, May 5, 1945, 8 o’clock in the morning of German summer time, there is a peace of arms against the troops of Field Marshal Montgomery in the Netherlands.
With this the situation, which for some days already existed in some parts of the Netherlands because of the food supply of the population of the west, has been extended to the whole occupied territory of the Netherlands.
The executive authority remains in the hands of the German occupying power.
Keep order and peace! Demonstrations and any disturbance of the order shall be dealt with with the appropriate means, if necessary with weapons.

Deze poster is in gebruikte conditie en dateert van 5 mei 1945.
”Nederlanders!
Van heden, 5 mei 1945, ‘S morgens 8 uur Duitsche zomertijd af, bestaat wapenrust tegenover de troepen van veldmaarschalk Montgomery in Nederland.
Daarmede is de toestand, die sinds eenige dagen reeds voor enkele deelen van Nederland wegens de levensmiddelenverzorging der bevolking van het westen bestond, uitgebreid tot het geheele bezette gebied van Nederland.
Het uitvoerend gezag blijft in handen van de Duitsche bezettende macht.
Bewaart orde en rust! Tegen demonstraties en elke verstoring der orde wordt met de geeigende middelen, zoo noodig met wapens, opgetreden.
