Original WWII Dutch announcement poster

Historical proclamation from World War II, printed on paper and dated 23 April 1945.
This poster (German and Dutch) was issued by the Commander-in-Chief of the German Wehrmacht in the Netherlands and addresses acts of sabotage and the maintenance of order during the final phase of the war.
The document features a sober typographic design with a clear column layout and black border, characteristic of official occupation publications of the period.
The paper shows signs of age.
Caption:

Sabotage against installations and assassination attempts on members of the German Wehrmacht have increased in recent times. There is no doubt that these attacks are being carried out by terrorists and other underground elements; such acts have nothing to do with warfare. In full agreement with the Reich Commissioner for the occupied Dutch territories, I have now ordered the military to proceed to counter these actions and to eradicate and repel this menace using all means at their disposal. I am determined to observe the rules of open and honorable warfare and therefore call upon the peace-loving population not to make themselves complicit through assistance or support, but instead to contribute to peace and order in the country. Originele WWII Nederlandse ‘Bekendmaking’ poster 1945

Historische bekendmaking uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, gedrukt op papier en daterend van 23 april 1945. Deze tweetalige affiche (Duits en Nederlands) werd uitgevaardigd door de Opperbevelhebber van de Duitse Wehrmacht in Nederland en heeft betrekking op sabotageacties en ordehandhaving in de laatste fase van de oorlog. Het document is typografisch strak vormgegeven met duidelijke kolomindeling en zwarte kaderlijn, kenmerkend voor officiële bezettingspublicaties uit die periode. Het papier vertoont ouderdomssporen.
Opschrift:

Sabotage tegen inrichtingen en moordaanslagen op leden der Duitsche weermacht nemen in den laatsten tijd toe. Er bestaat geen twijfel dat deze aanslagen door terroristen en ander ondergedoken gespuis ten uitvoer worden gebracht; dergelijke aanslagen hebben met oorlogsvoering niets te maken. In absolute overeenstemming met den heer Rijkscommissaris voor de bezette Nederlandsche gebieden heb ik nu den militairen bevolen met alle hun ter beschikking staande middelen deze onzinnigheid uit te roeien en af te weren. Ik ben besloten de regels van een open en eerlijke oorlogvoering in acht te nemen en verzoek daarom de vredelievende bevolking zich niet door hulpverlening en begunstiging medeschuldig te maken, maar tot rust en orde in het land het hunne bij te dragen.
