Original WWII British book ‘Military Operations in the Netherlands from 10th-17th May, 1940’, written by Colonel P. L. G. Doorman O.B.E.
The book is based upon material and data in the possession of the Netherlands Department of War in London and covers the German invasion of the Netherlands in May 1940.
The title page states that the work was published in June 1944, with a second impression in November 1944, and was printed in Guildford and Esher.
The text describes the military operations around, among other places, Rotterdam, the Grebbeberg, Rhenen, Veenendaal, Wageningen, Maastricht, Venlo, Grubbenvorst, Lottum, Broekhuizen, Gennep and Zeeland.
The book contains a table of contents, several black and white photographs of defensive works and bridges among other subjects, and a fold-out map showing the fighting from the 12th to the 14th of May 1940.
The map shows the positions and axes of advance of the Dutch and German troops together with a legend and scale.
This is a hardcover edition with a paper dust jacket in brown tones and the title printed on the front.

Op de titelpagina staat vermeld dat het werk werd uitgegeven in juni 1944, met een herdruk in november 1944, en werd gedrukt in Guildford en Esher.
