Original WWII Allied Propaganda Leaflet Indonesia Japanese Occupation Air Raid Warning

Original Allied World War II propaganda leaflet intended for the Indonesian population during the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies.
The double-sided leaflet is printed in Indonesian and warns civilians about Allied bombing attacks against Japanese targets.
The front carries the heading ‘Perhatikanlah Nasihat Kami’ and explains that Allied bombing operations are directed against the Japanese and their installations rather than the Indonesian population.
The reverse features an illustration of civilians taking cover while aircraft bomb a target, accompanied by instructions to seek protection in a ditch or lie flat on the ground when bombs approach.
At the bottom, the leaflet states that the Japanese will be driven from Indonesia and that peace and order will be restored.
The leaflet is in clearly used condition with folds, discoloration, damage and traces of use as visible in the photos.
An interesting original example of Allied psychological warfare connected with the campaign against the Japanese occupation of the Dutch East Indies.

Origineel geallieerd propaganda strooibiljet uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog, bestemd voor de Indonesische bevolking tijdens de Japanse bezetting van Nederlands-Indië

Het dubbelzijdig bedrukte strooibiljet is opgesteld in het Indonesisch en waarschuwt de bevolking voor geallieerde bombardementen op Japanse doelen.
Op de voorzijde staat de tekst ‘Perhatikanlah Nasihat Kami’, waarbij wordt uitgelegd dat de bombardementen gericht zijn tegen de Japanners en hun installaties en niet tegen de Indonesische bevolking.
De andere zijde toont een illustratie van mensen die dekking zoeken terwijl vliegtuigen een doel bombarderen, met daaronder aanwijzingen om bij naderende bommen bescherming te zoeken in een greppel of op de grond te gaan liggen.
Onderaan wordt aangekondigd dat de Japanners uit Indonesië zullen worden verdreven en dat de rust zal worden hersteld.
Het strooibiljet verkeert in duidelijk gebruikte conditie met vouwen, verkleuringen, beschadigingen en gebruikssporen zoals zichtbaar op de foto’s.
Een interessant origineel stuk geallieerde psychologische oorlogsvoering uit de strijd tegen de Japanse bezetting van Nederlands-Indië.
