Original WW1 German Army Rybniker Zeitung War Bulletin No. 330 – 14 February 1915

Original German First World War army publication, issued as number 330 of the ‘Rybniker Zeitung’ on 14 February 1915.
The sheet contains an official German army communiqué from the ‘Großes Hauptquartier’ reporting developments on both the Western and Eastern Fronts.
Under ‘Westlicher Kriegsschauplatz’ it reports fighting near Pont-à-Mousson, the capture of Norroy and Height 365, and the capture of 2 officers and 161 men.
It also reports the capture of 135 prisoners during fighting in the Vosges.
Under ‘Östlicher Kriegsschauplatz’ the bulletin describes German military operations along the East Prussian border and in Poland.
The upper left corner features an Iron Cross with crown, ‘W’ and the date 1914.
The distinctive red and black border combined with the contemporary military reports makes this an interesting original document from the early period of the First World War.

Het blad bevat het officiële Duitse legerbericht van het ‘Großes Hauptquartier’ met nieuws over de gevechten aan zowel het westelijke als het oostelijke front.
Onder ‘Westlicher Kriegsschauplatz’ wordt onder meer bericht over gevechten bij Pont-à-Mousson, de verovering van Norroy en Höhe 365 en het gevangennemen van 2 officieren en 161 manschappen.
Daarnaast wordt melding gemaakt van 135 gevangenen bij gevechten in de Vogezen.
Onder ‘Östlicher Kriegsschauplatz’ wordt verslag gedaan van Duitse operaties aan de Oost-Pruisische grens en in Polen.
Linksboven is een afbeelding van het IJzeren Kruis met kroon, ‘W’ en het jaartal 1914 afgebeeld.
De opvallende rood-zwarte omlijsting en historische berichtgeving maken dit een interessant origineel document uit de eerste maanden van de Eerste Wereldoorlog.
Het formaat bedraagt circa 38 x 28 cm.
