Original WW1 Dutch Army Mobilisation Cross 1914-1918 Medal

Original Dutch Mobilisation Cross 1914-1918, instituted in 1924 to commemorate the Dutch mobilisation during the First World War.
The bronze cross features the dates ‘1914’ and ‘1918’ with the inscription ‘Augustus November’ on the obverse.
The reverse bears the inscription ‘Mobilisatie Vrede Eer’.
The Mobilisation Cross was instituted by the National Committee for the Commemoration of the 1914 Mobilisation and was officially permitted for wear on Dutch military uniforms from 1924.
This example is complete with its red, white and blue ribbon.
The cross shows traces of use, as visible in the photographs.

Origineel Nederlands Mobilisatiekruis 1914-1918, ingesteld in 1924 ter herinnering aan de Nederlandse mobilisatie tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog

Het bronzen kruis toont op de voorzijde de jaartallen ‘1914’ en ‘1918’ met de tekst ‘Augustus November’.
Op de achterzijde staat de tekst ‘Mobilisatie Vrede Eer’.
Het Mobilisatiekruis werd ingesteld door het Nationaal Comité Herdenking Mobilisatie 1914 en mocht vanaf 1924 officieel op het Nederlandse militaire uniform worden gedragen.
Dit exemplaar is compleet met het rood-wit-blauw uitgevoerde lint.
Het kruis vertoont gebruikssporen, zoals zichtbaar op de foto’s.
