Original Pre 1940 Dutch ‘Burgerwacht’ M15 Adrian helmet

This M15 Adrian helmet is in good condition and was used by the Dutch Civil Guard  (Burgerwacht) during the mobilization period in the 1930s and 1940s.
This model helmet was initially supplied to Artillerie Inrichten for the Dutch Army in 1917 but was declared unsuitable.
Most of these helmets were issued to the Dutch Civil Guard in the 1930s and in some cases also used by the Air Protection Service.
A feature of this helmet is its typical color and the lack of slots on the front for a metal insignia.
The Dutch Civil Guard was disbanded by the German occupation forces in 1940.

Originele Pre 1940 Nederlandse Burgerwacht M15 Adrian helm 

Deze M15 Adrian helm is in goede conditie en werd gebruikt door de Nederlandse burgerwacht in de mobilisatieperiode in de jaren 30 en 1940.
Dit model helm werd in eerste instantie in 1917 geleverd aan Artillerie Inrichten voor het Nederlandse leger maar werd ongeschikt verklaard.
Het grootste deel van deze helmen werd in de jaren 30 uitgereikt aan de Nederlandse burgerwacht en in sommige gevallen ook gebruikt door de Luchtbeschermingsdienst.
Een kenmerk van deze helm is de typische kleur en het ontbreken van de sleuven aan de voorzijde voor een metalen embleem.
De Nederlandse burgerwacht werd in 1940 door de Duitse bezetter ontbonden.
