Original pair of shoulder boards for the field uniform of a Soldat in the National People’s Army (NVA) of the former East Germany (DDR), dating from the Cold War period.
These shoulder boards are made in the characteristic grey-green field uniform cloth and feature the matching branch-colored piping along the edges.
The simple design without rank stars indicates the rank of Soldat (enlisted man).
The reverse is finished with the typical attachment tongue for mounting onto the Felddienstbluse (combat tunic).
An interesting collectible for collectors of DDR, Warsaw Pact and Cold War militaria, as well as enthusiasts of German military uniform insignia and rank distinctions.

Origineel paar schouderstukken (shoulder boards) voor het veldtenue van een Soldat binnen de Nationale Volksarmee (NVA) van de voormalige DDR, daterend uit de Koude Oorlog-periode. Deze schouderstukken zijn uitgevoerd in het karakteristieke grijs-groene velduniformlaken en voorzien van de bijpassende koordrand in wapen- of dienstvakkleur. Het sobere ontwerp zonder rangsterren duidt op de rang van Soldat (manschap). De achterzijde is afgewerkt met het typische bevestigingslipje voor montage op de Felddienstbluse (gevechtsjas).
