Original 1970s Rhodesian Armoured Car Regiment stable belt dating from the period of the Rhodesian Bush War.
The belt is manufactured from red textile with two horizontal yellow stripes representing the regimental colours of the Rhodesian Armoured Car Regiment.
The central metal buckle features the head of a sable antelope with the regimental motto ‘Asesabi Lutho’, meaning ‘We Fear Nothing’, underneath.
The Rhodesian Armoured Car Regiment was reactivated in 1972 and remained active until 1980.
The stable belt formed part of the dress worn by members of the regiment while on base.
The belt retains its original metal fastening and adjustable metal buckle.
An interesting original piece of Rhodesian military equipment connected with the Rhodesian Armoured Car Regiment during the 1970s.
