Original Netherlands East Indies Para Commando overall belt from the 1945-1949 period.
The belt is made in camouflage fabric with a metal buckle and was used together with tropical and combat equipment by Dutch military units in the Netherlands East Indies.
This type of belt was worn by para commandos and other military personnel during operations throughout the Indonesian War of Independence.
The construction consists of strong canvas material with reinforced stitching near the buckle section.
The camouflage pattern corresponds with the use of tropical field uniforms by Dutch special units in Southeast Asia.
An original piece of Dutch East Indies militaria from the post-war period.

Originele Nederlands-Indië Para Commando overall riem uit de periode 1945-1949.
De riem is uitgevoerd in camouflage stof met metalen gesp en werd gebruikt in combinatie met tropen- en gevechtsuitrusting binnen Nederlandse eenheden in Nederlands-Indië.
Dit type riem werd gedragen door para commando’s en andere militairen tijdens operaties gedurende de Indonesische Onafhankelijkheidsoorlog.
De constructie bestaat uit stevig canvas materiaal met doorgestikte verstevigingen aan het uiteinde van de gesp.
De camouflage uitvoering sluit aan bij het gebruik van tropische velduniformen binnen Nederlandse speciale eenheden in Zuidoost-Azië.
Een origineel stuk Nederlands-Indië militaria afkomstig uit de naoorlogse periode.
