The Westwall was a German line of bunkers and fortifications along Germany’s western border, built from the 1930s onward partly by the Organisation Todt.
The line ran from Kleve near the Dutch border to the Swiss border and was intended to stop an attack from France and the Benelux countries.
In the Allied countries the Westwall was also known as the Siegfried Line.
An interesting collectible for the collector of German pre-war and early wartime literature on the Westwall.
