Original German book ‘Hitler Abseits vom Alltag’, published in 1937 by Verlag und Vertriebs-Gesellschaft Berlin.
This edition contains 100 photographic documents compiled by Heinrich Hoffmann, the official photographer of the NSDAP, with a foreword by Wilhelm Brückner.
A remarkable feature of this example is the original typed accompanying letter addressed to Joh. Slootweg at von Zesenstraat 4 III in Amsterdam.
The letter includes an original signature by Th. Kessenmeier as ‘Organisationsleiter’ together with the red Deutsche Schule-Bund Hamburg stamp.
Its contents form a historical propaganda document from the early Third Reich and illustrate how propaganda material was distributed to supporters in the Netherlands.
The book includes photographs of the Berghof, official meetings, encounters with children, senior party officials and private surroundings presented for propaganda purposes.
The cover shows normal signs of use consistent with its age and the rear cover displays some discoloration.
The interior is complete and remains in very good condition, including the original inserted letter.
A remarkable historical collector’s item with documented Dutch provenance.

Deze uitgave bevat 100 fotodocumenten samengesteld door Heinrich Hoffmann, de officiële fotograaf van de NSDAP, met een voorwoord van Wilhelm Brückner.
Bijzonder aan dit exemplaar is de nog aanwezige getypte begeleidende brief gericht aan Joh. Slootweg, wonende aan de von Zesenstraat 4 III te Amsterdam.
De brief is voorzien van een originele handtekening van Th. Kessenmeier als ‘Organisationsleiter’ en een rode stempel van de Deutsche Schule-Bund Hamburg.
De inhoud vormt een historisch propagandadocument uit de beginperiode van het Derde Rijk en biedt inzicht in de wijze waarop propaganda onder sympathisanten in Nederland werd verspreid.
Het boek toont onder meer afbeeldingen van de Berghof, officiële ontvangsten, ontmoetingen met kinderen, partijfunctionarissen en privéomgevingen die destijds werden gebruikt voor propagandadoeleinden.
De omslag vertoont normale gebruikssporen passend bij de leeftijd en de achterzijde heeft enkele verkleuringen.
Het binnenwerk is compleet en verkeert in nette staat, inclusief de originele ingelegde brief.
