Original 1864 Prussian Düppel-Sturmkreuz medal from the Second Schleswig War.
This historical decoration was awarded in remembrance of the assault on the Düppel fortifications on 18 April 1864.
The obverse features the portrait of King Wilhelm I of Prussia surrounded by inscription text.
The reverse displays the Prussian eagle above a cannon with the inscription Düppel and the date 1864.
The medal is suspended from its original black white and yellow ribbon associated with this Prussian award.
