Original WWII US ‘Manhattan Project’ Atomic bomb developers set

This American set is in good condition, dates from 1945 and contains a number of objects from the Manhatten project, also known as the construction of the Atomic Bomb.

The set includes the certificate, silver pin, blouse and bakelite record of the announcement by President Harry Truman of the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima in Japan.

The Manhattan Project was the name of the highly secret operation (from 1942 to 1946) led by the United States, with the help of Canada and the United Kingdom. This project allowed the United States to develop the atomic bomb during World War II.

Deze Amerikaanse set is in goede conditie, dateert uit 1945 en bevat een aantal objecten van het Manhatten project oftewel de bouw van de Atoombom meewerkte.

De set bestaat uit de oorkonde, zilveren speld, blouse en bakelieten LP met daarop de bekendmaking van de Atoombom op Hiroshima in Japan.

Het Manhattanproject was de naam van de zeer geheime operatie (van 1942 tot 1946), geleid door de Verenigde Staten, met de hulp van Canada en het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Met dit project konden de Verenigde Staten tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog de atoombom ontwikkelen.
