Original 1920/1930s German Reichsbanner insignia

This German emblem is in good condition a was produced in the 1920s/30s for the on the sports shirt of the Reichbanner party.
The Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold was an organization in Germany during the Weimar Republic, founded by members of the center-left Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), the center-right German Center Party and the centrist German Democratic Party in February 1924.
The aim was to defend German parliamentary democracy against internal subversion and extremism from the left and right and to force the people to respect and honor the flag and constitution of the new Republic.

As a pro-democracy paramilitary organization, the Reichsbanner’s main opponents were the Communist Party of Germany and their Rotfrontkämpferbund on the far left, and the NSDAP and their Sturmabteilung (SA) on the far right.

Dit Duitse embleem is in goede conditie een werd geproduceerd in de jaren 20/30 voor op het sport shirt van de Reichbanner partij.
De Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold was een organisatie in Duitsland tijdens de Weimar Republiek, opgericht door leden van de centrum-linkse Sociaal-Democratische Partij van Duitsland (SPD), de centrum-rechtse Duitse Centrumpartij en de centristische Duitse Democratische Partij in februari 1924.
Het doel was om de Duitse parlementaire democratie te verdedigen tegen interne subversie en extremisme van links en rechts en om de bevolking te dwingen de vlag en grondwet van de nieuwe Republiek te respecteren en te eren.

Als pro-democratische paramilitaire organisatie waren de belangrijkste tegenstanders van de Reichsbanner de Communistische Partij van Duitsland en hun Rotfrontkämpferbund op uiterst links, en de NSDAP en hun Sturmabteilung (SA) op uiterst rechts.
