Original Dutch KNIL identification document from the 1945-1949 period, issued in Badoeng.
The document contains a passport photograph of the holder, fastened with metal staples.
The holder is listed as Irin bin Idroes, with the rank ‘Sld. Tkl.’
The Alg.Stb.Nr. 9464812 is crossed out and noted on the document.
At the bottom of the left page is a stamp of the issuing authority, together with a signature of the holder.
The document is signed on behalf of the (Mil.) Commandant.

During the Indonesian War of Independence (1945-1949), the Netherlands launched two major military offensives, known as the ‘Politionele Acties’ (Police Actions), in an attempt to restore Dutch colonial rule in the Dutch East Indies.
During this period, Dutch military personnel, including soldiers of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army (KNIL), fought against Indonesian independence fighters until the Netherlands transferred sovereignty in December 1949.
Badoeng, located on Bali, was one of the regions where Dutch military authority remained active during these years.

Onderaan de linkerpagina is een stempel van de gezaghebbende geplaatst, evenals een handtekening van de houder.
