Original German 1813 Liberation Wars Document – Blücher & Graf von Wittgenstein Proclamations

Original German document containing two printed proclamations from the period of the German Wars of Liberation against Napoleon in 1813.
The right-hand side contains the proclamation ‘Deutsche Jünglinge und Männer!’ by Graf von Wittgenstein, calling upon German youths and men to join the struggle against French domination.
This proclamation is dated from headquarters in Berlin on 11/23 March 1813 and calls for, among other things, the formation of German legions and participation in the liberation of the fatherland.
The left-hand side contains the proclamation ‘An die Truppen unter meinem Befehl’, addressed to the troops under the command of Prussian General Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher.
This text is dated Bunzlau, 23 March 1813, and concerns the struggle for Prussian and German independence against France.
Blücher addresses his soldiers on discipline, courage and the approaching campaign against the French forces.
Both texts belong to the historical context of the Befreiungskriege of 1813, when Prussia and its allies renewed their struggle against Napoleon.

Origineel Duits document met twee gedrukte proclamaties uit de periode van de Duitse Bevrijdingsoorlogen tegen Napoleon in 1813

Het document bevat aan de rechterzijde de oproep ‘Deutsche Jünglinge und Männer!’ van Graf von Wittgenstein, gericht aan Duitse jongelingen en mannen om zich bij de strijd tegen de Franse overheersing aan te sluiten.
Deze proclamatie is gedateerd vanuit het hoofdkwartier in Berlijn op 11/23 maart 1813 en roept onder meer op tot de vorming van Duitse legioenen en deelname aan de bevrijding van het vaderland.
Aan de linkerzijde staat de proclamatie ‘An die Truppen unter meinem Befehl’, gericht aan de troepen onder bevel van de Pruisische generaal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher.
Deze tekst is gedateerd te Bunzlau op 23 maart 1813 en behandelt de strijd voor de Pruisische en Duitse onafhankelijkheid tegen Frankrijk.
