Original WWII German ‘Tankausweiskarte’ from the General Government in occupied Poland for the allocation of fuel.
The card is printed in both German and Polish and carries number 35558.
The front is headed ‘Tankausweiskarte zum Bezuge von Vergaserkraftstoff’ with the Polish translation ‘Karta do pobrania spalinowego materiału pędnego’.
The card was issued for a maximum of 30 litres of fuel and lists the district of Puławy.
The front bears a clear official stamp featuring the German eagle and swastika together with the wording ‘Der Generalgouverneur’.
The reverse contains German and Polish regulations concerning the acquisition of petrol, motor oil and the use of the card.
An interesting administrative document relating to regulated fuel distribution within the General Government in occupied Poland during World War II.

De kaart is tweetalig uitgevoerd in het Duits en Pools en draagt nummer 35558.
Op de voorzijde staat ‘Tankausweiskarte zum Bezuge von Vergaserkraftstoff’ met de Poolse vertaling ‘Karta do pobrania spalinowego materiału pędnego’.
De kaart werd uitgegeven voor maximaal 30 liter brandstof en vermeldt het district Puławy.
Op de voorzijde bevindt zich een duidelijke officiële stempel met Duitse adelaar en hakenkruis en de tekst ‘Der Generalgouverneur’.
De achterzijde bevat in het Duits en Pools de voorschriften voor het verkrijgen van benzine, motorolie en het gebruik van de kaart.
