Original WWII German General Government Temporary Dienstausweis – Piastów 1944

Original WWII German ‘Vorläufiger Dienstausweis Nr. 378’, issued in Piastów in occupied Poland on 9 November 1944.
The Ausweis belonged to Stanisław Lenartowicz, who is recorded as a worker employed at the ‘Durchgangslazarett in Piastow’.
The document also records that his Kennkarte was issued in Warsaw under number 84646.
The Ausweis was only valid in combination with a photographic identity document.
It bears several official stamps and signatures, including a General Government stamp featuring the German eagle.
The lower section contains regulations concerning employment, misuse of the Ausweis and its required return following termination of employment.
An interesting named document from the General Government and the final period of the German occupation of Poland.
