Original WWII German Luftwaffe British Aircraft Recognition Chart ‘Flugzeug-Kennung Land-Flugzeuge GB’

Original German Luftwaffe aircraft recognition document from the Second World War.
The document is titled ‘Flugzeug-Kennung LAND-FLUGZEUGE M 1:1000 GB’ and was intended for the recognition and identification of British and Allied aircraft.
The chart shows silhouettes of numerous aircraft types together with their principal dimensions and German classifications including ‘Jagd-Flugzeuge’, ‘Zerstörer-Flz.’, ‘Küstenaufkl.Flugzeuge’, ‘Stuka-Flugzeuge’ and ‘Kampf-Flugzeuge’.
Aircraft illustrated include well-known types such as the Spitfire, Hurricane, Mustang, Tomahawk, Lightning, Blenheim, Boston, Maryland and Wellington.
Several lesser-known aircraft and American-built types operated by Britain are also included.
A legend at the bottom uses numbered references to indicate the operational status and use of the different aircraft types.
The reference number ‘2/183’ is printed in the lower right corner.

Origineel Duits Luftwaffe vliegtuig-herkenningsdocument uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog

Het document draagt bovenaan de titel ‘Flugzeug-Kennung LAND-FLUGZEUGE M 1:1000 GB’ en werd gebruikt voor de herkenning en identificatie van Britse en geallieerde vliegtuigen.
De kaart toont silhouetten van verschillende vliegtuigtypen met daarbij de belangrijkste afmetingen en Duitse classificaties zoals ‘Jagd-Flugzeuge’, ‘Zerstörer-Flz.’, ‘Küstenaufkl.Flugzeuge’, ‘Stuka-Flugzeuge’ en ‘Kampf-Flugzeuge’.
Onder de afgebeelde toestellen bevinden zich bekende typen zoals de Spitfire, Hurricane, Mustang, Tomahawk, Lightning, Blenheim, Boston, Maryland en Wellington.
