Original WWII Dutch Police magazine ‘De Nederlandsche Politie’, 2nd year issue number 15, published on 1 August 1944 during the German occupation of the Netherlands.
The magazine was the official publication of the ‘Kameraadschapsbond der Nederlandsche Politie’ and was published in Nijmegen.
The front cover features a large photograph of a gathering commemorating Rembrandt with the title ‘De Nederlandsche Politie’ underneath.
This issue contains various articles, reports and photographs concerning the Dutch Police and its activities in 1944.
An extensive article covers the ‘Rembrandt-Herdenking’ held in Amsterdam on 14 July 1944 for members of the Dutch Police.
The magazine also contains reports from different police corps, articles concerning police work, sporting events and personnel matters.
Of particular historical interest is the page titled ‘Laatste groet’, reporting on Chief Constable L. de Groot of the Zuidhorn department, who was shot and killed on 10 July 1944.

Het blad was het officiële orgaan van de Kameraadschapsbond der Nederlandsche Politie en werd uitgegeven vanuit Nijmegen.
Op de voorzijde staat een grote foto van een bijeenkomst ter herdenking van Rembrandt met daaronder de titel ‘De Nederlandsche Politie’.
Deze uitgave bevat verschillende artikelen, berichten en foto’s over de Nederlandse politie en haar werkzaamheden in 1944.
