Original 1938 Dutch Army Prince Bernhard Military Oath Ceremony Bakelite Record with Photograph

Original 1938 Dutch Army commemorative set consisting of a remarkable bakelite gramophone record and an original press photograph relating to the military oath ceremony of Prince Bernhard.
The bakelite record bears a handwritten label referring to the ‘Eedsaflegging Officieren Prins Bernhard 1938’ and is preserved in an original Disques Pyral sleeve.
The recording is directly connected with Prince Bernhard taking his military oath as an officer within the Dutch armed forces.
Accompanying the record is an original press photograph showing Prince Bernhard during the ceremony with his right hand raised, surrounded by Dutch officers and military personnel.
The reverse of the photograph bears the stamp of R.K. Foto-Persbureau ‘Het Zuiden’ from ‘s-Hertogenbosch-Maastricht-Breda and reproduction number 32753.
The original photograph measures approximately 18 x 13 cm.
The combination of the historical sound recording and accompanying press photograph forms a remarkable surviving ensemble from pre-war Dutch military and royal history.

Originele Nederlandse leger herinneringsset uit 1938 met een bijzondere bakelieten grammofoonplaat en een originele persfoto van de militaire eedaflegging van Prins Bernhard

De bakelieten plaat is voorzien van een handgeschreven etiket met de vermelding ‘Eedsaflegging Officieren Prins Bernhard 1938’ en wordt bewaard in een originele hoes van Disques Pyral.
De opname houdt rechtstreeks verband met de eedaflegging van Prins Bernhard als officier binnen de Nederlandse krijgsmacht.
Bij de plaat bevindt zich een originele persfoto waarop Prins Bernhard tijdens de ceremonie met opgeheven rechterhand is afgebeeld, omringd door Nederlandse officieren en militairen.
Op de achterzijde van de foto bevindt zich het stempel van R.K. Foto-Persbureau ‘Het Zuiden’ uit ‘s-Hertogenbosch-Maastricht-Breda met reproductienummer 32753.
De originele foto heeft een formaat van circa 18 x 13 cm.
De combinatie van de historische geluidsopname en de bijbehorende persfoto vormt een bijzonder bewaard gebleven geheel uit de vooroorlogse Nederlandse militaire en koninklijke geschiedenis.
