Original WWII German Personalausweis issued in 1941 during the German occupation of Baranowitschi, present-day Baranavichy in Belarus.
The document is a multilingual identity card with German, Polish and Russian text and was issued by the ‘Kommissarischer Bürgermeister der Stadt Baranowitschi’.
The Ausweis belonged to Józef Bubień, born on 10 September 1907 and residing in Baranowitschi.
His ‘Volksangehörigkeit’ is recorded as ‘Polak’, identifying the holder as Polish.
His religion is listed as Roman Catholic and his profession is recorded as ‘Büroarbeiter’.

Het document is een meertalige identiteitskaart met Duitse, Poolse en Russische opschriften en werd uitgegeven door de ‘Kommissarischer Bürgermeister der Stadt Baranowitschi’.
De Ausweis behoorde toe aan Józef Bubień, geboren op 10 september 1907 en woonachtig in Baranowitschi.
Als ‘Volksangehörigkeit’ staat ‘Polak’ vermeld, waarmee de houder als Pools werd geregistreerd.
Zijn geloofsovertuiging staat als rooms-katholiek aangegeven en bij beroep is ‘Büroarbeiter’ genoteerd.
