Original WWII German Luftwaffe Robot II Camera with Carl Zeiss Biotar and Schneider-Kreuznach Telephoto Lens

Original WWII German Luftwaffe Robot II camera, manufactured by Robot Berning & Co. in Düsseldorf as a military camera for the German Luftwaffe.
The top of the camera is clearly marked with the property designation ‘Luftwaffen-Eigentum’.
The interior of the camera is marked with serial number ‘F 57066-5’.
The camera is fitted with a Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 1:2 f=4cm lens bearing serial number ‘Nr. 2515716’.
This type of Robot II with Biotar 4cm lens is documented as a German Luftwaffe Treffer- und Bordkamera and was employed for photographic applications connected with aircraft.
The Robot II features its distinctive spring-driven mechanism which enabled multiple photographs to be taken in succession.
The camera is accompanied by an additional Schneider-Kreuznach telephoto lens with a focal length of 7.5 cm.

Op de bovenzijde van de camera is duidelijk de eigendomsmarkering ‘Luftwaffen-Eigentum’ aangebracht.
Aan de binnenzijde is de camera gemarkeerd met serienummer ‘F 57066-5’.
De camera is voorzien van een Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 1:2 f=4cm objectief met serienummer ‘Nr. 2515716′.
Dit type Robot II met Biotar 4cm objectief is gedocumenteerd als Duitse Luftwaffe Treffer- en Bordkamera en werd ingezet voor fotografische toepassingen bij vliegtuigen.
De Robot II beschikt over de kenmerkende veerwerkaandrijving waarmee meerdere opnamen achter elkaar konden worden gemaakt.
Bij de camera bevindt zich tevens een extra Schneider-Kreuznach teleobjectief met een brandpuntsafstand van 7,5 cm.
