De Engelstalige uitgave vertelt het verhaal van de activiteiten van KLM in West-Indië vanaf december 1934 en behandelt daarmee zowel de vooroorlogse periode als de oorlogsjaren.
Het boek bevat uitgebreid historisch fotomateriaal van KLM-vliegtuigen, bemanningen, vliegvelden, gebouwen en de ontwikkeling van het luchtvaartnetwerk in onder andere Curaçao en het Caribisch gebied.
Onder de afgebeelde vliegtuigen bevinden zich historische KLM-toestellen met registraties uit de West-Indische luchtvaartdienst.
