Original WWII German Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Shoulder Board

Original WWII German Kriegsmarine shoulder board for the Marine-Küstenartillerie, the coastal artillery branch of the German Navy.
The shoulder board is manufactured from dark green uniform cloth and features a gold-colored embroidered Kriegsmarine insignia.
The insignia consists of a winged anchor with a stylized element above it and forms a prominent feature on the shoulder board.
During the Second World War, the Marine-Küstenartillerie was responsible for defending important coastal areas, harbors and naval installations.
Kriegsmarine coastal artillery units were stationed along the Atlantic coast and throughout German-occupied areas of Western Europe.
The upper section features an embroidered buttonhole used to secure the shoulder board to the uniform.
The reverse shows the original construction with its fabric lining and attachment section.
The original stitching remains clearly visible around the edges and the piece displays traces of use.

Origineel WWII Duits Kriegsmarine schouderstuk voor de Marine Küstenartillerie

Het schouderstuk is uitgevoerd in donkergroen uniformdoek en voorzien van een goudkleurig geborduurd Kriegsmarine-embleem.
Het embleem bestaat uit een gevleugeld anker met daarboven een gestileerd element en vormt een opvallend onderdeel van het schouderstuk.
De Marine-Küstenartillerie was tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog verantwoordelijk voor de verdediging van belangrijke kustgebieden, havens en marine-installaties.
Eenheden van de Kriegsmarine kustartillerie waren onder meer opgesteld langs de Atlantische kust en in de bezette gebieden van West-Europa.
Het schouderstuk heeft aan de bovenzijde een geborduurd knoopsgat waarmee het op het uniform werd bevestigd.
De achterzijde toont de originele constructie met stoffen voering en bevestigingsgedeelte.
Langs de randen zijn de oorspronkelijke stiknaden duidelijk zichtbaar en het geheel toont gebruikssporen.
